Location Change for The State of North Iowa

Early registrations for the Chamber’s The State of North Iowa event exceeded the capacity of the Commerce Center, so the breakfast meeting has been moved to the new Mason City Arena.

“We’re thrilled about the response,” said Robin Anderson, President & CEO of the Chamber. “It signals the business community is very interested in hearing about our progress on this county-wide strategic plan.” The event, which is sponsored by Clear Lake Bank & Trust, is scheduled at 8AM on Thursday, January 23 at the arena.

Debi Durham, Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority, will present the keynote address. Durham was recently named by the Des Moines Business Record as one of Iowa’s “Most Influential Business Leaders” and a “Woman of Influence.” She has also received the “Legislative Advocacy Leader” award.

Following Durham’s remarks, Iowa Business Council Executive Director Joe Murphy will facilitate a panel discussion which includes Mason City Mayor Bill Schickel, Clear Lake Mayor Nelson Crabb, County Supervisor Tim Latham, and North Iowa Corridor EDC President Chad Schreck.

Tickets are available for $25 each for employees of Chamber member businesses. Click here to register online.
