Ag Breakfast – March 20

The Ag Breakfast is set for 7AM on Wednesday, March 20 at a new location: The Music
Man Square. This annual event brings together hundreds of attendees to connect farm and
business for an early morning made-to-order omelet breakfast served by the Agribusiness
Committee and volunteers.

Vice President for ISU Extension & Outreach Dr. John Lawrence will present
“ISU Serving Agriculture: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” Lawrence has
been a leader at Iowa State University in many capacities, including Director
of the Iowa Beef Center, Associate Dean in the College of Agriculture and
Life Sciences, and Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension
and Outreach. He was raised on a crop and livestock farm and truly
believes in building a strong Iowa.

Assistant ISU Economics Professor Dr. Wendong Zhang will follow
Lawrence and share “Seven Things You Should Know About China to
Understand the Trade War.” Zhang is the leading researcher of the Iowa
Land Value Survey, the Iowa Farmland Ownership and Tenure Survey, as
well as the ISU Soil Management and Land Valuation Conference. His
presentation will highlight seven critical economic, political, and cultural
aspects of China to help attendees better understand the actions and
attitudes of the Chinese government and people.

Tickets are available in books of 8 for $80 dollars for Chamber members and
$95 for non-members. Individual tickets are $12 each and student tickets are
