Ag Tour

The Ag Tour is an annual event led by the Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee. The tour provides the opportunity for individuals to see and learn about various agricultural industries that are important in the North Iowa community.

This free tour is presented by the Chamber Agribusiness Committee and business sponsors. If you are interested in attending, please register by contacting Kativa or by calling the Chamber at 641-423-5724.

The 2019 Ag Tour, complete with a “Barnyard Brunch,” is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14 at the Thomas Farmstead in Kensett. Aaron and Dana Thomas moved to the country with a desire to learn to live a simpler life with fewer GMOs. The Thomas family, including their two young children, raises chickens, hogs, and have a family cow due to calve in February. Daughter Ali loves to help pick apples for the family’s signature applesauce, butter, and pie filling! The Thomas Farmstead mission is “to grow healthy, nutrient-dense food in a sustainable manner; to better the land and environment; and empower the people that eat our food so that they can make a difference in the world.”

This tour is presented by the Agribusiness Committee and is free to attend thanks to the Ag Tour sponsors. If you are interested in participating, please register by contacting Kativa or call 641.423.5724. Space is limited.

Thank you to the 2019 Ag Tour Sponsors!
