The Ag Breakfast is an annual appreciation event held in March. Projected attendance for this event is 400-500 people. The Ag Breakfast is a yearly event to bring farms and business together for an early morning breakfast served by Chamber volunteers.
The Ag Breakfast is set for 7AM on Thursday, March 19 at The Music Man Square. This annual event brings together hundreds of attendees to connect farm and business for an early morning omelet breakfast hosted and served by the Agribusiness Committee. The 2020 Ag Breakfast is focused on helping North Iowa to “Forecast for the Future.”
Former Iowa House Representative Josh Byrnes will moderate a panel of area experts on the future of modern agriculture. Byrnes was a member of the Iowa Agriculture Education Committee during his time in the legislature. Panelists include local farmer Steve Strasheim with Twisted River Farm; Extension Economist Alejandro Plastina; and Landus Cooperative Grain Marketing Advisor Ashley Smeby.
Attendees are asked to submit questions prior to the breakfast for panelist consideration. Forecasting the future of agriculture is crucial for North Iowa’s success.
Tickets are available for Chamber Members in full tables (10 seats) for $100, or half a table (5 seats) for $50. Individual tickets are $12 each and student tickets are $5. Non-members can contact the Chamber for pricing details.
