Ambassadors

• Greeting arm of the Mason City Chamber.
• Call on new members, businesses and managers.
• Perform ribbon cuttings & ground breaking ceremonies.
• Recruit new members.
• Host Special Events.

North Iowa Band Festival

• Plan and coordinate the annual North Iowa Band Festival.
• Conduct “Friends of the Festival” fund-raising campaign.

Diplomats

• Maintain membership strength among current members.
• Visit existing Chamber members.
• Mentor and encourage Chamber involvement for new members.
• Assist with Operation Thank You.
• Attend Business After Hours.

Events

• Organize Chamber social events and networking opportunities.
• Business After Hours.
• Bowling and Golf Outing.

Legislative Task Force

• Meet as needed to study legislative issues affecting business.
• Make recommendations to Chamber Board regarding the issues where a position/stand is needed.
• Draft annual position paper for local legislator presentation.
• Assist with Legislative Forums in January, February and March.

Local Issues

• The “Voice” of Mason City businesses.
• Raise and address important issues affecting local business.

Membership

• Focus on Chamber membership recruitment and retention.
• Assist with the production of the annual Membership Directory.
• Organize Operation Thank You.

Business Information Committee

• Focus on the needs and goals of businesses in the North Iowa area.
• Responsible for North Iowa Business Bash.
• Responsible for “Good Morning, Mason City” events.
• Responsible for Technology Showcase.
• Selection of Small Business Person of the Year.
• Selection of Boss of the Year.
• Arranging small business workshops.
